Anti-Segregation

Went to the anti segregation rally thing yesterday.  Such an amazing turn out!  I was so happy.  Went with mom, remind me not to go to places like this with mom, she knows waaay too many people that I don’t know, and I have to put that “yes I’ll pretend I know you” smile on my face.

Ali Al-Rashed, what a man, seriously.  He has the guts to take the first step for the benefit of Kuwait and it’s people.  One of the only REAL men left in the parliament.  It is not his first time to take a stand on a contraversial issue, and seriously, I applaud him for all his efforts.  Thank you.

Seriously ppl, wtf is this with the whole segregation thing, I seriously cannot believe those MP’s are serious.  They go, study in the US, UK, even Egypt, and send their kids to study abroad, where places are not only integrated, but everything is available.  O0 when it comes to the education in their country they want to hinder it?!

Our parents are paying for us to grow up in an integrated PRIVATE school so we learn how to interact with not only the other sex but people from different countries too.  Next thing you know, they want to ban “american” “english” “french” etc schools for KUwaities and only allow foreigners to attend those schools, like they are in Saudi Arabia.

My biggest pet peeve, the words I hate to hear is “its not part of our culture” (3adatna oo taqaleedna” WHO GIVES A RATS A**!!! Seriously, there are some “3adat oo taqaleed” that should be just remembered because truthfully, its so old school that you could rub a whole desert of dust off of them.  And not everyone believes in the same 3adat oo taqaleed, so 3ashan we don’t “follow blindly” you should give us choices.

And in case you guys didn’t know, during our parents time, when these weirdos didnt exist, life was normal.  Integration was normal in jam3a, they even traveled together!! The University would sponsor trips to different places (for guys and girls together!!) believe it or not.  Fa ya3ni its NOT part of “3adatna oo taqaleedna”.

If you don’t want your daughters to mix with men, then lock her in a room, send her to Saudi, or build your OWN schools, and let people have choices.  Not everyone agrees with your view point.  Just like you don’t agree with everything we do, that doesn’t mean we want you to lead us to the “holy light”.

And yes, before you want to start this whole “segregation” bullshit, PLEASE PLEASE fix the schools.  Ya3ni its embarrasing that such a rich country like kuwait has such ugly and crappy looking schools.  Ghayraw il manahij!!!! I look at books that my cousins have (the arabic and religion ones) and they are still the same from when I was in school!!!!!!!

Fix the hospitals!!! Hire people more knowledgable for their job! Don’t hire cheap labour to save money, and in turn open closed doors that should be locked, dead bolted and the key thrown into the ocean!  Seriously, the cleaning ppl they hire don’t know a thing about keeping the place sanitary, and all that stuff!!!

Fix the corruption in the Baladiya.  Where is all the money going?  Fix the broken roads in the mana6iq.  Look into people who are going against the baladiya “rules”.  The house in front of us has chickens and pigeons and dogs and cats, a whole zoo, in an irtedad of 10m! Seriously, it sucks!  People build houses with no parking, and they park on the street, both sides. 

Before you start calling for stupid rules, please please ya a3tha’a majlis il omah, please look at the bigger problems kuwait is facing!!!
