Corniche Club

Last week I went with my friends to finalize their membership at the Corniche Club.  After they finished the paper work and getting their membership cards we decieded to walk around and explore the place out.  As soon as we entered we were met by Yves who is in charge of the Gym and the beach/pool facilities.  He welcomed us and all that good stuff and took my friends paper work.  It was then he realized he had 2 papers and we were three girls.

He asked me why I didn’t join and I told him I’m a busy person.  He didn’t take my answer, so he told me he is giving me a free personal training session so I can be convinced to join the gym.  I didn’t need to be convinced, the place is GORGEOUS and the facilities are great.

So yesterday I went to get my free personal training.  It totally killed me :s  I have not worked out HARD since I left the US, actually since before I left the US in 3 months!!! The days of being fit were LONG gone!  I used to be able to do so much, and now I can barely do 5 minutes on the eliptical with out huffing and puffing!

I loved the corniche and Yves was an amazing trainer.  But I don’t think i will be joining corniche.  Even though I have been in a mixed environment my whole life, I still don’t feel comfortable working out infront of guys, which might be kind of weird.  Even in the US I used to go to an all womens gym.

I might go check out Flex one of these days, I’ll join it for 3 months just to test out if I would go regularly.

I had a summer membership in `06, I enjoyed it .. until I went to the “C Club”, have you seen it? I loved it last year, it was bigger and nicer than the corniche, I hope its not 3adadified now.

You need to eat, not train, you are 50 kgs from your ideal weight

The idea of “huffing and puffing” as u put it, and sweating like a pig in front of guys is not so appealing to me.

I dont think I’ll ever look good during workout sessions. So no mixed gyms for me!
